No More Glitter
April 22, 2006 by haziamyperspective
It’s been exactly a year since I left the glittering hotel industry…again:) Phew, what a rollercoaster ride it was! Hardly had time to re-charge my battery. I don’t miss the long hours, the hectic days, the heart-stopping moments and the pitiful pay…
But I do miss the ‘kick’ of being where it all happened, the team spirits, the ‘can-do’ attitude and the ACTION…Oh, the continuous flow of adrenaline…After all, I picked up some speed and flair;) It was the school of hard-knocks.
I had the honour of being there during the Formula One photo shoot, NAM
delegation visit, Mariah Carey’s concert, Michelle Yeoh’s press conference, Boh Cameronian’s Arts Awards….and the list goes on. Not to mention, the numerous Michellin Star Chefs’ food reviews, dealing with foreign journalists and lengthy TV filmings.
Well, you can’t have it all..that’s what life is all about. Maybe I’ll return, maybe I won’t…What I did know was that I would think a million times before throwing my social life out of the window again, regardless of how much glitter:D
Though some may question why would you need a social life with an exciting career like that;)
To my hotelier friends, I did have fun! It was an electrifying experience.
