Symphony of the Stars

He called me for the first time one evening when I was working late. I brought my black RAZR to the pantry for privacy, sat on the bar stool facing the large windows that overlooked the lush gardens and tranquil swimming pool of the hotel next door.
The conversation lasted for more than an hour, it took my breath away! I like his voice, deep at times, flirtatious at others. I heard honesty…I heard uncertainty…I heard fear…but most importantly, I heard KINDNESS. His voice flowed soothingly like a perfect evening symphony.
I was drawn in from the very beginning. He openly shared a lot of things with me…his tough growing up years, his mixed parentage, his life abroad, his love for diving…He claimed that divers made the best kissers because they could hold their breath for long;) He also said that your heart was the size of your fist. So when your lover hold your hands and looked deep into your eyes, it was like he was touching your heart:)
I didn’t know about her until a few phone calls later. He found her well-mannered, graceful, spoilt too. They were very much in love. People thought that they were destined to be together. Sadly, she doubted him and ended up marrying his best friend.
Encouraged by his captivating voice, I later on unveiled my disappointments…my loneliness..my hopes… He said I should get rid of those crappy guys that I hang
around with:) Hmm…
So many memories shared…so many tales told…and yet we were still strangers.
I wished that when we finally meet, it would be perfect, just like that phone call.
I could still hear that beautiful melody, gentle to my ears, calming to my soul.
Malamku penuh mimpi
Pertemuan tak terjamah
Sinar di ujung sana
Menerangimu
Pernah kau berkata
Bila ku merindu
Bicara saja bintang kan mendengar
Maka kau kan merasakannya
Song: Bicara pada Bintang
