Dating, v:
Dating is the process in which people go out socially with other people while determining if there is any romantic interest in the person they are dating.

"’How do you know whether going out with a person from the opposite sex is considered a date or not?" Someone asked me this question recently, someone whom I DON’T DARE DATE;) Hanging out with him yes, but actually dating? Hmm…
Lesson 1 ~ Frankly, going by the 2 definitions above, I think you can achieve the goal of dating without even going out on a date. Make sense?
Lesson 2 ~ On the other hand, if you’re going out together without any of the above goals in mind, then that does not meet the definition of a date. You are short of the main element i.e. HOPE. Agree?
Therefore, can we conclude that a non-date outing means one without hope of it blossoming into romance or love?
Well, well, well…I’m waiting for The Stranger to enlighten me on this;)

Aiyah. Why bother to get the definitions? Just go out and enjoy each other’s company. With all the definitions running in your brain…. how are you going to be yourself and initiate a great conversation? The driving force behind every MEET should not be HOPE but simply the benefits..including joy to be derived out of it. Tui? I am MEETING my good friend later……
Haha…good point:)
Just realised something, none of my platonic guy friends is Malay, except d one in Sg. With D Stranger’s foreign blood n all, I didn’t expect him to behave typically, but he did. How disappointing.
Anyway, like my best friend said, I may not even find him attractive in person. He sounds like a ladies’ man, an oyster. I prefer snails;)
