Facets of Love

I watched Mawi and Ina on RTM1 & Astro Ria just now. Well, I couldn’t care less for Siti Nurhaliza & Datuk K - a wedding is a wedding and I’ve seen way too many weddings already.
As a PR practitioner, I could see that Mawi was very media savvy. Unlike Ina, he had pre-identified his 2 key messages and stuck to these 2 no matter what questions or issues came up:
1) Ini terlalu peribadi
2) Ini komitmen saya sebagai artis
But as a woman, I also noticed another thing - He still loves her but he doesn’t love her enough to move mountains to be with her. His priorities were clearly spelt - fans and family, fiance came only after those 2.
I sure didn’t expect to see Once performing Dealova at the beginning of the show. My friend was about to alert me, Dealova was my song with the forbidden one. I first heard the beautiful melody and enchanting lyrics when he sent it to me. Oh No! Too late!

(He was always there for me, like the air that you breath).
In fact, only just now, he asked me the name of the florist in Singapore - the one where I ordered the bouquet for his birthday. He thought I pre -ordered the Birds of Paradise while I was still in KL. I didn’t, it was not a planned gesture. I rushed to the shopping centre nearby while waiting for my coach to KL the day before. I didn’t want to do it until I had actually met him. I was touched that he genuinely loved the flowers and still remember those distinct orange petals all this while.
However, I couldn’t resist asking why. Apparently, he wanted to order flowers for his wife’s convocation, she has just completed her second degree.
As good as putting a knife in my heart!
