I got this email from Simah (http://refcobass1.blogspot.com/) on an interesting ‘chain game’ going on in the blogging world. Yeah, I was ‘tagged’:)

RULES:People who are tagged should write a blog post of 6 weird things about them as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says ‘you are tagged’ in their comments and tell them to read your blog. 

People say I’m weird all the time but I can’t remember exactly what I was doing when they said it. These has been going on forever, ever since my school days.

In fact, I remember our 10th year reunion, we had a getaway in Penang. The moment we entered our hotel room, I did something ‘weird’ (Man, what was that?) and my friends said "Oh, that is normal for her, she has always been like that":p.

Okay, I have SHORTLISTED 6 items from a whole long list of weird things about me. LOL!

1) My 2 favourite colours are the mysterious PURPLE and the fiery RED. Yeah, I know, what a weird combination! Try to guess my personality from there. Impossible? Exactly, which explains the root to my numerous eccentricities.

2) When I eat rice with Malay dishes, I don’t like the gravy from 2 or more dishes to mix. I also arrange the lauk neatly on my plate and try to avoid each one from touching the other. It is probably due to having our meals served in a tray (with partitions) during boarding school years…hehe…

Also, if you ask me to sample something you’re eating, don’t put it in my plate (unless it is dry). It may have has a clashing/ different sauce/gravy. I would rather that you place it on my spoon instead (which I would discreetly wipe clean of gravy first). LOL!

3) When I have to do public speaking, I won’t have butterflies in my stomach until I am done with it. So, I shivered after delivering a speech instead of before. It’s silly but useful. This is an asset in my profession, hehe…

4) I like to read more than 1 books at the same time, to my mother’s amazement. For example, I would have a self-help book, a novel / short stories collection and a religious book piled up in a row, all with bookmarks inside. I would read 1 book, say a chapter, put in down, take the next one and read it, stop and then continue with the last one, all in 1 sitting:)

5) I’ve been told that I have many ‘facets’. I can be charming and talkative with total strangers when the need arises. However, I can be also switch off completely and be reserved and detached when I don’t feel like socialising or I don’t trust/like a particular group of people.

6) Despite getting my driving license at 17, I’ve always taken public transportation to work. I don’t drive at all. There is an extra car at home but I never touch it. It doesn’t help that my condo is 5-minute walk from an LRT station and also it is easy to take a cab from here. Right, no pressure to drive. The fact that I have to meet clients and attend events everywhere for the last 10 years hasn’t changed that.

After this, I shall do another entry on the things that people find weird about me. Mind you, to me, many of those traits are very NORMAL! Kepoh la:p.
