Up Memory Lane

Today I received comments via email for my ‘The 50 Sen Queens’ story. My project mate, who is also an ex-MRSMer said that I’ve captured the boarding school atmosphere well - how the girls are divided from the boys but what everybody actually wanted was just to mingle a little. It reminds her of how we used to take everything so seriously sometimes at that age.
Interestingly, I didn’t even have to go back in time to remember what it was like to be a teenager to write this. It was so ‘top of mind’, it was as if I’ve never left. LOL!

“50Sen, 30Sen, etc label was referring to a certain part of the girls’ anatomy, more to the point, the size of a certain part of the girls’ anatomy,” he continued.
“Our over imaginative minds saw the shape enclosed in the cup as somewhat similar to a pack of Nasi Lemak. The bigger the pack, the more it costs. I’m not sure if it makes you feel better going from being judged on morality to being judged on anatomy though." He chuckled.
“I see,” I said.
“I’m sorry that the girls were traumatized. I think we didn’t realise how the girls must have felt.” He said apologetically.
To his surprise, I burst into laughter. And I could not stop laughing for a while.
