Treasures

My office had already organised a farewell tea for me on Monday, together with 2 November babies birthday. My main boss wasn’t around, traveling. Thank god. So, I got a thank you note from my second boss.
I made my farewell speech super short, only 2 sentences. LOL! Something like thank you for your guidance and support and it’s been great working here (I meant it in a sarcastic way of course). He kept on asking where I was going, told him would tell him later. He insisted that I share in front of everybody. Yeah right, as if I’d leave any trail for these clowns. I’d rather than they completely forget about my existence.
I am almost done clearing my stuff, am bringing a big bag to office today to pack. Above is a picture of some of the items on my desk. The globe signifies my mission to travel. The funny mirror inspires creativity. The elephant is a gift from an ex-boss to remind me of the awards that I’ve won. The carved bug initially held an invitation card from another ex-boss, shows how she does things differently and passionately. I’ve replaced it with a motivational quote instead, a big one. The funky clock was supposed to be a birthday gift for another boss, but I decided not to. Anyway, our working relationship started superbly, only to end so horribly.
I shall definitely not miss this place. I’ve emotionally detached myself a long time ago.
A crossing moment in my life happened here though.
