Burst of Hope

Despite a really hectic day at work today, I managed to leave the office at 5.55pm. Yeah, my parents were flying off for Umrah just now. After all the agents cancelled their packages for one reason or another, my parents decided to opt for Tabung Haji. The 3 of us had a good experience with Tabung Haji while performing Haj in 2006/07.
Last weekend was hectic too. During our family lunch at Bubba Gum, I had to answer calls from Cairo several time. Unfortunately, Sunday is a working day there.
I tried to get a ribbon bow for the launch event in Cairo but no luck. My brother and sister in law left me with my 2.5 years old niece in her stroller and entered one of the shops. The little cutie suddenly passed her smiley balloon and stuff to me. Without warning, she stood to get up. Man, I had to quickly grab her before she fell off. Tricky with my hands full too. Funny thing was that, as soon I as lifted her, the stroller fell backward. A guy helped to lift it but it kept falling down. He left. My niece laughed and laughed while yelling out for her daddy to solve the problem. Okay, I still couldn’t figure out how to do it:)
After lunch was another mad rush to find a Seng Heng outlet. I had to redeem my free air-condition unit by 31 May. I arrived home, dead tired.
Yesterday was another long day at work. My deputy started his 1st day onboard. No warming up, just press the accelerator and speed right on. So far so good, a right-brain thinker, just like me. I hope this is for real. He even good-naturedly joined me for a farewell dinner with the former minister at 8pm. It was 11.30pm when I finally got home.
Well, at least most of the pressure is over, the unfamiliar components have been settled. I leave it in God’s hands now.
Sounds like you need some time off to visit the spa. Me too.
