The first time I heard the above song was during my primary school years. Our choir teacher made us learn it during class. At first, we all giggled. Our teacher told us off, love is not just about girlfriend, boyfriend. The song was much deeper than that. She reasoned why it was written for a beloved teacher and not a lover… eg. first hello, reach for her hand, etc.

Interestingly, last weekend, when my Adik asked me to name a song, this one sprang to mind. He said he wanted to learn a song and sing / play for me. In fact, it was the only song that I could think off at that time.

His msn greeting stated ‘15 more days to 20′. It hit me, oh my God! It’s been a year already…. again. He’ll be 20 at the end of this month. He asked whether I’d be going down. I couldn’t remember if we celebrated his 19th birthday together but he said we did. We first met on his 18th birthday. Later on, I checked my blog, we celebrated his last birthday in September.Yeah, 4 months later. Nevermind, it’s the memories that count. LOL! I’d better plan in advance for his 21st birthday, that would be something.

I told him I’ll try to go next month, maybe during the Singapore Arts Festival. My schedule is just really hectic and unpredictable nowadays. Man, the last 5 months flew so fast. Unbelievable!

p/s: I’ve finally managed to re-pick up the short story inspired by my Adik i.e. My name is red fried chicken.
