Simplifying the Uncomplicated

My company organised a training at a local university last week. When I arrived within the campus environmnent, the cool fresh air was reviving. I felt so re-charged, and motivated to go back to college.
However, despite the cab dropping me off at the right building, I couldn’t find the seminar hall. I got lost for 30 minutes and had to miss breakfast. I asked around 10 people. 8 students were useless, man, just say don’t know the venue if you don’t, don’t mislead people. And lesson learned, never ask students for directions.
The 1st staff’s direction was accurate and I did find the canteen she mentioned (next to the hall). But I made a mistake by asking a students after that who directed me right across the bridge and mosque - she said look for an arch. She was so damn sure about it too. There goes. A few more students and finally, I asked another staff. She showed me straight to the entrance.
There was no signage at all. Unfriendly buildings, just like all local universities. That reminds me the unpleasantness of those days & why I didn’t really enjoy my undergraduates’ days. Not only things were complicated, but unnecessary so. In actual fact, they could be made much simpler. By the time I entered the hall and the training started, my motivation level dropped significantly. Not to mention, I was hungry, difficult to concentrate:(
