Fury Fury

I was really in great fury from the 1st day I got back to work last Thursday. After a good Chinese massage on Tuesday evening, I was surprised to find 3 missed calls and 5 smses on my phone. There were several franctic ones too, my, my, malam2 buta pun ada drama lagi. LOL!
Interestingly, I have progressed from ’serious-tension’ stage to ‘it’s a comedy around me stage’. And finally, I could laugh it off.
Yeah, the last few days had been terrible. Jealousy has mushroomed and for the first time, I realised that this place is no different from my previous workplace and the one before that. I became a target of bitching. Here, it involved mainly the old staffs who have a lot of gripes. Most of them are men, okay!
The increase of my motivational level from the overseas trip was gravely tarnished by IS’ outburst at a group meeting. Apparently, someone who went with me came back and smeared my name. Therefore, IS concluded that the whole trip was a flop, I didn’t coordinate properly, I was MIA and hence, I failed. Imagine my fury!
Who the hell was he to declare that it was a flop? He wasn’t even there. He didn’t even ask me what happened. At least wait till No 1 returns and give his version.
It didn’t take me long to confirm the source. And I struck back, hard too, to both the source and IS himself. How dare they! I didn’t hesitate to broadcast about it to all external parties I met the next day. That covered quite a lot of significant people too.
I talked to the girl at the bookstore and she helped gave me a crystal-clear perspective of what happened. My role in the overseas event has made me stand out and the guy couldn’t stand it. The small-minded scump was jealous. He wanted to make me look bad to make himself look good, as if he was the victim. Just my luck. Many of my colleagues have handled these missions before. Somehow, when I took over, suddenly it became a glamorous affair.
Strike one! I’ll go after him until he wishes that he’d never known me.
